These pictures sum up Zymbo, totally obsessed with squirrels, lure coursing & when that’s not an option, a total couch potato. He was my 1st Ibizan. He’s 8 years old and from a Spanish Import litter. He’s got a CKC registration & his fancy name is Terre Christa’s Pepe Jr. He’s not an AKC registered dog, but has limited registration so that he can course. He’s totally sweet (unless you happen to be a small fuzzy critter that runs fast), and the happiest dog I’ve ever known. He’s great with my 3 year old daughter Eliza (as long as she’s not chasing him with her doll stroller)---she sacks out on his pillow with him a lot. To find out about Ibizan hounds, click here: www.geocities.com/Heartland/Pointe/2446/IHCUS.htm.This is the official website for the Ibizan Hound Club of the United States. So what the heck is lure coursing?????? www.asfa.org is the American Sighthound Field Association which sponsors many trials & is the primary coursing we do. The site will probably do a better job of explaning it than I do. Also you can find it on the www.americankennelclub.org site under performance events or field trials. It’s a lot of fun!!!! Your dog gets to chase a plastic bag around a 600/800 yard course with 2 other dogs, doing all sorts of turns etc. The dogs just love it!! And it’s way fun to watch.
