I live in central North Florida with my husband, 2 1/2 year old daughter, & two Ibizan Hounds. I grew up in southern Ohio near Cincinnati in a somewhat rural community. I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts in studio art from Miami University, Oxford OH in 1984. I have a Masters of Fine Arts in Painting from University of Kentucky, Lexington, KY (1989).
From 1995-2001 I was an adjunct professor in studio art at Jacksonville University where I taught drawing, figure drawing & upper level open studio classes. Thanks to the encouragement of my friend Caroline Madden (Hot glass professor at JU), I took a glass painting workshop in low fire enamels from noted Seattle glass painter, Cappy Thompson. Later I attended fusing workshops at Hot Glass Horizons in Corning, NY.
